Les Visages du France.

I am currently at the train station in Paris waiting for a train to go to Frankfurt, so I thought I would take the time to write a little blog.

All of this character makes Paris an ideal place for people watching, and sketching. The streets are lined with little cafes where you can sit, drink coffee and just sit and watch. Unfortunately, the French have a 6th sense about being watched. It is very hard to take their photos or draw them without being discovered, so I had to work fast. That being said, the subject material is everywhere. It was made for sketching from life, and memory sketching. Here are some visages du Paris:

Frank got a inexpensive tablet PC from a local used computer place, so Bruce and I picked one up to. I have been using Alias Sketchbook to draw, and don't quite have the hang of it. I am so used to drawing in Flash, that it feels very strange. Plus I bear down on my stylus so hard with a vice-grip that my lines end up wobbly and I press too hard on the monitor. I'm working on it.
When I get back to the states I will do a little “travelblogue” like I have done in that past. Until then au revoir.
