New York 09: Part 1
On Sunday, when we came into New York we got settled at the apartment, checked on our roomates...two cats named Tarzan and Sheba.

After being reminded why I do not like cats, we then went out in to the cold and headed to the Cooper Union area. This is one of my favorite areas of New York. There is a great store, Toy Tokyo, where I picked up this:
And around the corner from Toy Tokyo is our favorite New York bar McSorely's, which we try to hit every time we come to town.
We ate at Bobby Flay's Mesa Grill, which was kind of meh.

Afterwards we walked around the city, trying to acclimate to the weather. In Times Square I saw a gigantic poster that I think is from the show that fellow “Powerhouser” Shane Minshew's brother is on.
Monday morning, our agent had some meetings with other clients so I got up early and went to Times Square to go to Colony, a giant sheet music store.

I needed the piano theme from “The Incredible Hulk,” (which is apparently called “The Lonely Man”) and “Living La Vida Loca” for the next Captain Capitalism cartoon. It was interesting to watch the nice man who was helping me resist the urge to ask what the hell someone would need that combination for. It was causing facial ticks.
However, he was so helpful that I still had some time before lunch, so I went down to Kid Robot. It is a very cool store and the Mecca for what they call “Designer Vinyl Toys.” I grabbed a cheap little adult swim “surprise pack” and was delighted to find Dr. Girlfriend inside.

Later that day I passed a TD Bank and took a quick shot of the new Penny Arcade coin counter that Powerhouse animated. I say quick shot because I imagine they don't take kindly to people taking photos of banks.
While I have been putting this together, I found out my meeting in Boston on Wednesday, has been pushed to Friday due to the weather...which means I now need to get on the phone and pull my Friday meetings to Wednesday...juggle, juggle, juggle...
